A staple for any ocean fisherman. Copper pipe jigs have been known to produce hits with only a single hook and no bait. Many fishermen believe the copper and lead when mixed with saltwater can create a small electrical charge. An unproved theory but why else do they get so many hits? It just might be the bubbles and disturbance they produce. The added flicker of the jig if present can also produce hits.
